Let customers speak for us
from 334 reviewsHi I am still overseas. Will give braai for present to husband 19 March. Can not wait to try it for the first time.

Absolutely love it! Baked the perfect bread in it as well as great PIZZA's.

I have used the Pizza Braai XL for everything except Pizza. and was very impressed by the ability of the oven to keep its temperature with not a lot of wood. I also got it up to 350 degrees Celsius for an hour so heat will never be a problem.

This is the best investment I made. The quality of the product is like nothing out in the market. The service is quick and very friendly. My pizza braai travels everywhere with me. Used the braai at a birthday camp and we made 40 pizzas without any hassle. The fact that you can basically make anything you can imagine is the best part. There is no competition for this product.

Dear Pizza Braai team,
I just wanted to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you for your outstanding service. The consistent updates and attention to detail, without me having to ask, truly set you apart. It's honestly the first time in my life that I’ve experienced such thoughtful and proactive customer care. Keep up the amazing work — you’ve definitely gained a loyal customer in me!

I bought the Pizza Braai Tourer and we used this for a Pizza Bday party, effortless is all I can say. Good quality. Thanks

While the Pizza Braai XL already comes with a pizza spade, I opted to purchase a second one as I saw how much it helps to speed up the process when visiting a friend (who inspired me to buy the Pizza Braai XL for my husband in the first place). It is something you may not realise that you need, until you have it. Go on, add it to your purchase...

We recently bought the Pizza Braai XL and highly recommend getting the thermometer too. The first few times without the thermometer it was a real guessing game whether the inside is actually hot enough and our pizzas took far too long and the bases were not crispy enough. This was despite a large fire on top, plenty of coals (also under the braai).
When we got the thermometer afterwards and waited for the temperature to reach 300-320 (as suggested elsewhere in this forum) the first few pizzas came out super quick (actually too quick and we suddenly had the table full of food). With 11 people and 1 oven that was, however, OK on that occassion. We therefore took some of the coals off and waited a bit.
Another important thing is to use wood that generates hot coals. The last times we used hardwood in the beginning and then had ordinary braai wood in a small feeder fire next to the oven.
So, in summary our suggestion is to use hardwood in the beginning and get the temperature to 300-320, thereafter other wood can be used to maintain the heat and coals.
One negative design flaw, in our opinion, is that the handle is a bit too close to the drawer. When the oven has heated up the drawer front is incredibly hot. After having blister burnt our knuckles a few times we now use a cloth or oven glove.
